So today began training. I got up ea-rly and headed to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I ended up working there for 9 hours. Though it was a long day, the training was so much fun! We learned the characters “do’s and don’ts” (let me just tell you Mickey has a lot of rules he must abide by when he’s interacting with the guests. Things you’d NEVER think about!). We learned how to play both guy and girl characters. In order to better prepare ourselves we did some a model walk off. It was hard-core! We went and did some character watching, which was pretty great, then we had lunch at the “Pride Rock Café,” which is an awesome cafeteria/library for cast members. After lunch we headed back to the training room and got fitted for our characters. I can’t tell you which characters I’m friends with online, ya know protecting the Disney magic and all, so I’m sorry about that. Gawrsh ☺ just think of tall characters!
Got home today, exhausted. I’m feeling a little sickly so I’m gonna just chill inside for tonight. Sorry about the short blog, I’m exhausted and ready for bed (I know what you’re thinking…it’s 8pm?) Being a character is hard work!
