Pool Party, sort of.

I officially had my first down day today. Got up about noon and basically just chilled. All of my roommates were gone so I did some reading about crazy love and what that looks like. I had to run to Wal-Mart and pick up my Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Cleaner (a must I hear when you’re having quarterly inspections). While I was out, I got to listen to an Aaron Stern podcast about the book of James. He dealt with Christian maturity and how that comes to fruition within the life of a believer. FAN-TAS-TIC! Headed back to the room, ate some dinner, and headed out once again, this time with Mike, to the Toy Story Pool Party. However, the pool part was quickly voided as a heavy thunderstorm set in. So, we enjoyed the Toy Story Under-The-Tent-With-Sweaty-Disney-Lovers Party (much better). Not only were Buzz and Woody there, but there was a an insane game of Twister, and a lot of college students getting “low, low, low, low.”
Some great stuff happened today too. On the way back from the party I got a chance to talk with Mike about drinking. It gave me a great opportunity to show him where I stand and just to lay my cards out on the table. I’ve already seen him try and be cautious of the language he uses around me, so that’s a big kudos God moment. Kevin and Orlando, have kinda been absent today, though I did have to explain to them what a plugged shower drain was this afternoon. I told them to call the front desk and have someone come out and look at it. When I left the room I could hear them reciting it to themselves, “How did he say, ‘Plugged?’ ‘Plu-gg-ed.’ Yeah, ‘plugged.’” Good times, good times. Well, tomorrow begins my first official day as a Disney employee. YEAH!
Also, I just wanted to give you a little heads up. I’m going to have to be very particular with the things that I can release while blogging. Disney works very hard to keep the magic magical, and I don’t want to ruin that by giving away stuff online. So, just make a mental note, I’m going to be doing some censoring while I’m writing.
