I headed back from the grandparent’s trailer today in just enough time to chill before I headed into work. We only had a one-parade night tonight so it wasn’t too bad. For some odd reason though, I went in with a ton of energy. I was dancing all around that PC. The actual parade itself was a little long. A few of the floats were having some minor difficulties so we had to slow parade up so we could move them out of the way without leaving a huge gap in the parade progression. For some odd reason, I am running out of energy way earlier into parade than I have been. Maybe it’s the monotony of the choreography or something, but by the time I reach step down I’m about to die.
After work, I got to drive Megan home and then spend some time with Jessica. Pizza Hut is running a crazy awesome special right now so we each got a pizza and watched, “That Thing You Do.” It’s a great movie! I spent a good majority of the night hanging out over there.
On my way back into the apartment, this little animal underneath the stairs distracted me; it was the ugliest possum I’ve ever seen in my life. Not only was it ugly, it was huge! This thing could have gnawed my leg clean off. I tried stomping on the ground and everything, but Big Bertha wouldn’t move. It just sat there and growled at me. You would think that I, the human being, would be able to scare it off, oh no, I ran like a girl past the thing, praying to God it wouldn’t turn and attach me.
Once I got in the apartment, I felt I could breath easier. I was safe. Wrong again. I walked in to my Puerto Rican suitemate and his Asian boo making out on the couch. Awkward. I just went straight to my room turn the lights on and started making loud noises. I figured if I couldn’t scare away a possum, I’d at least be able to handle a few human beings. They quickly found their own faces, and composed themselves. Ah, home sweet home.
