Today was my last day with the Smiths before they leave for Michigan—I don’t want to talk about that, so let’s focus on the positive! I got up this morning after only getting approximately five hours of sleep, and headed to my creativity and innovation class. I knew it was gonna be a kinda rough morning when I couldn’t keep my left eyelid open. There was no issue with the right. Apparently sleep deprivation only affects my left eyelid, because that was the one that kept closing. I probably looked like I was wasted, which I most certainly WAS NOT (just to specify).
After the class ended I headed back to the apartment to change and eat lunch so that I could meet up with the Smiths at the Magic Kingdom. I ended up getting there around 1:30. We rode Big Thunder Mountain and Goofy’s Barnstormer a lot. We waited to see the “Celebrate a Dream Come True” parade too. It was incredible! It’s probably one of my favorite parades at Disney. In fact, ask Christi to demonstrate the choreography when she gets home, trust me you’ll agree once you experience the magic.
We left the park around 5ish to head over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for our dinner at Chef Mickey’s with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto. Not only were the characters great, but the food was awesome! It was such a great way to wrap up a wonderful week with some of my favorite people!
After dinner, we all headed back to the Pop Century so the boys could swim. Christi and I sat out on the side with Bella while Josh clearly depicted how one treads water. The boys quickly caught on so, Josh, Christi, and I just sat on the side of the pool and talked.
This week really has been great! I love the Smiths so much (if you weren’t able to pick that up from my blog). They are those kind of people that you meet once in a lifetime. I consider myself very lucky to be so close to them! I cherish them all and will miss them so much! For those of you who remember, say a quick prayer for them as they fly home tomorrow morning!
