Today wrapped up my 6 a.m. shifts! HALLELUJAH!!! We got the rehearsal studio to in our retro 80’s garb all ready to run. I loved the fact that Minnie was sporting blue leggings and a pair of shorts that said, “Dance” across the butt. It definitely made my day. We got there and got ourselves all set and ready to go. Oddly enough, people were pretty talkative this morning so when the instructor got up to give us director, she was having a hard time being heard over the noise. What happened next is, well, you’ll see…I’m sitting there and all the sudden, I see her get that kindergarten teacher look on her face. Ya know the one they get when the students won’t stop talking? Then she proceeds to put her hand up in the hair and count to three. Oh, and she was completely serious! There were 40 year olds in the room! Just a word of advice, don’t ever do the count to three thing with students over the age of ten—they just get angry and insulted. For the rest of the day, people would shoot their hands up in into the air whenever it would get a little noisy, and what do you think they were doing? Counting to three. I must admit, I found it rather humorous.
Today I actually mentally transferred some of my clumsiness to the other cast members. Instead of me biting it on my face, they were the ones messing up choreography and tripping over their Klenex box shoes. It was wonderful! ☺
After work, I headed to Wal-Mart to get my weekly supply of groceries. Who would of thunk I could eat so much in one week! My goodness, I’m gonna have to start starving myself cause my paycheck doesn’t allot for this grand living. One my way out, I saw a girl from my class waiting for the bus to pick her up, so I asked her if she’s like a ride home. She hopped in and proceeded to tell me just how miserable she is down here. Her paycheck isn’t good, she isn’t learning anything, and basically this is just a waist of her time. She is one of the most negative people I’ve ever met. It was so utterly ridiculous; when she got out of the car, I just started laughing. I just can’t imagine living life that way! Stay positive; negativity is just a complete turn off!
After heading home, I fell asleep on the couch for a while, and then headed over the Jessica’s for dinner and the tail end of dancing with the stars. Good times.
Now, I’ve just been chilling in the apartment watching Reba and blowing my nose. Gotta love cold recovery.
