"Changing It Up"

Again let me reiterate how much I love this schedule cause I love this schedule! I got up today at 2:30 and just hung around the apartment. Since I’ve exhausted my list of movies, I was happy to find “The Jungle Book” in the DVD player. After watching Mowgli fall for the little village girl, who knows how to lure in a guy far too well for a six year old, I decided to get up and get ready for work.
I got to there a little early so as to give myself some time to pull my costume and get to my set in time. After I get my entire outfit prepped and ready to go, another character performer asks if I’ll trade shifts with him because he really doesn’t want to be the character he’s been assigned. Well after spending time reading 1 John 4 this afternoon, how could I say no?
I ended up switching with him and heading to my new location. After searching forever, I realized this place was nowhere to be found! I had followed the maps to the “T” and yet, I was standing in the middle of nowhere! I finally found someone who was kind enough to give my directions.
I got all ready to go with a little time to spare. The sets tonight went really well. I thought my partner wanted to step on my jugular in a pair of stilettos, but hey, what can you do?
I realized today as I sat there and read just how hard it is for me to focus when I read the Bible. I don’t know why that is though? I’m mean I think I have a little bit of ADD (amongst other things) but it seems really bad when I’m reading scripture. It’s really frustrating because the thing that I should be most excited about—the thing I should be thirsting for, is boring and easy to shrug off. I’m getting a little frustrated with myself. Anybody else ever had this problem? Any suggestions?
