"Heat Stroke"

So today was another glorious day as a spare! I got to the Magic Kingdom hoping I’d be able to just settle into my stack of work out mats and dive into “Harry Potter.” Unfortunately, my life being what it is, I got pulled to a shift that is directly in the sunlight. B-e-a-utiful.
So I packed up my stuff and headed to my off set location with my newly packed costume. Today definitely had it’s up and down moments. Like I said before, our set location was directly out in the sun. Now, let me just help ya’ll put this in perspective—its been at least 90º for the last three weeks. Despite my close encounter with heat stroke numerous times throughout the day, it really had some great moments. For instance, I had a little girl come up and kiss me on the cheek, so I thought it’d be funny to look like her kiss was so great it made me faint, so down I went. Well, I forgot momentarily how massive and heavy my head was. So all you heard was this massive thud and a character lying on the ground. The next thing I know, all my attendants are asking me, “Are you okay?!” “Are you sure?!” It was really hilarious! Then later in the day, I had a little girl that was straight up terrified of me, so I decided to hop the nearby fence and get her a flower. She didn’t like it. I think she threw it. I had fun never the less.
After finishing up sets there, I headed back down to the base and rearranged furniture for about an hour. I soon after got a small reprieve from work and was able to start my book. I am now officially done with chapter three! It’s magical!
