"One Jammed Packed Day"

Today was just packed with enjoyment. I actually got to work at one of my favorite locations inside of Animal Kingdom; however the day started off a little rough though. I got my work location and found out that I had forgot a big part of my costume so thankfully another cast member let me borrow one from them. So after jacking up my costume first thing off, I arrive on set about 10 minutes late. I get out there, see one family, and immediately become blinded by my skullcap, so I’ve got to walk off set and fix my costume. After all that hassle, I arrive back on set and get to stay about 10 minutes. It’s safe to say the first set was an epic fail.
The rest of the day went really well! I really enjoyed the people I was working with! We basically just set off set and shot wet sweatbands at each other! It. was. great.
Once I got off work, I headed to Epcot to meet up with the Smiths. See, Nicco had just got done witnessing to Crush the Turtle and the rest of the theatre, and they were doing a little shopping. After I caught up with them, we headed to Mexico for a smoothie, some nachos, and a churro. After having our fill of some tasty Mexican, we headed off to take flight in “Soarin’.”
Once we had finished up at Epcot, the six of us headed back to the Pop Century to get a snack and just spend some time together. It was great! I got to sit and talk with Josh for a while Nicco and Nolie swam. You forget how much you miss having a conversation with someone that comes from the same point of view as you. Life can get a bit exhausting when you feel like you are constantly on your guard. It feels great to put your defenses down for a while and just spend time fellowshipping. That’s definitely one of the things I miss most being away.
