"I'm 21!"

Today I officially turned 21 years old and was able to turn down my first official alcoholic drink, all in one day! Oh, it was a great day! I got up about 11 for I was off again today. I kind of just chilled around the apartment for a while. I had to run up to the front desk and grab a couple birthday gifts—thanks so much to those of you who sent them! They were wonderful and so so appreciated! I jumped in the shower, got ready, and headed over to my friend Jessica’s apartment, because she so willingly agreed to give up her first day off in a week to help me celebrate my birthday! She really is a great friend! So, we headed off to grab a couple of movies because we decided to just chill today. After hitting up Blockbuster, we ran to Panera Bread for lunch and I got one of the best smoothies from this little no-name smoothie place next door—it was wonderful! We headed back, and dove into 17 Again. After the wonder of discussing the deeper theological themes running throughout the film wore off, we decided for a change of pace, so we headed to Hollywood Studios. I was able to talk Jessica into going on Rockin’ Rollercoaster with me, and for those of you who don’t know Jessica, this is quite an accomplishment because she is not a fan of roller coasters by any stretch of the imagination. However, she took it like a champ, and actually seemed to enjoy herself, once she was able to gain a sense of mobility back in her legs. We browsed around Hollywood Studios for about a half-an-hour and then headed back to the apartment to make dinner and watch another movie. We had spaghetti, cheese bread, and a Blooming Onion from Outback (what most people don’t know is that cheese bread and Blooming Onions are distant cousins in the food family). It was delicious! After dinner we watched another movie and had some cake. It was a great day!
For those of you who wrote and called to wish me a happy birthday—thank you so much! Being away from everyone was hard, but not nearly as bad, because I was continually being told happy birthday all day! You all are too good to me, and I don’t deserve you! That being said, I’m happy to have you ☺.
